InnoTrans Career Award 2018
InnoTrans is the world’s leading trade fair for rail transport technology and takes place every two years in Berlin. At the last event 2,955 exhibitors from 60 countries presented their rail industry innovations to 137,391 trade visitors who came from 119 countries. The five segments at InnoTrans include Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction. A unique feature of InnoTrans is its Outdoor Display, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains are displayed on 3,500 metres of track. InnoTrans is organized by Messe Berlin GmbH. The twelfthInnoTrans will take place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 18 to 21 September 2018. More details are available online at www.innotrans.com.
Underlying the Career Award concept is the idea ofpromoting rail industry careeropportunities offered by the trade fair, where international rail industry experts meet, to interest future generations within the industry. This opportunity will alsoprovidethem with assistance to enter such professions. Students and young professionals can take the chance and talk directly to the global players, small- and medium-sized companies, specialized associations and universities about current job vacancies, traineeships, job profiles and fields of work! Human Resource experts will also be on hand to show what a perfect application folder looks like and how to convince employers to hire the right candidate for them.
InnoTrans supports the Award, dedicated to young professionals and students, by sponsoring the travel for each of the two award winners to Berlin to visit InnoTrans. It includes:
- Airfare round trip ticket - economy class
- Admission to InnoTrans. Berlin, Germany (four days)
- Hotel accommodation for four nights
- Free access to public transportation throughout Berlin during the show days
- Access to the Career & Education Hall which includes the Career Forum and Career Pavilion
- Daily travel allowance
- Guided tours for students to exhibitors with career openings
A Berlin travel agency handles the travel arrangements. InnoTrans publishes the award and the winners by using InnoTrans marketing tools.
