30-DAY PUBLIC CONSULTATION:  Update of Transport Canada Standard TP 14850

 

The Transportation of Dangerous Goods Directorate has released the proposed first draft of the third edition of the Transport Canada Standard TP 14850 Small Containers for Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Classes 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, and 9 (the TP 14850 Standard).

 

The goal of this project is to update the TP 14850 standard with the most recent chapters 4.1 and 6.1 of the United Nations Model Regulations (UN Recommendations) for the Transport of Dangerous Goods.

 

At this time, Transport Canada is seeking comments from interested parties during the development process of the proposed TP 14850 Standard.

 

The public review will be open for comments until October 13, 2016.

 

A second 30-day public review will be made available on Transport Canada’s website in the spring of 2017.
