Brent Laing was appointed Vice-President, Engineering, CN in June 2022. He has more than 32 years of experience in the railway industry at Canadian Pacific, where he last held the position of Vice-President and Chief Engineer. After Brent left CP in 2016, he started his own engineering consulting firm covering the rail sector. Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He is based in Edmonton, AB.
